Amazingly, Rob (see the first GSL-SE page) aquired *another* '84
SE with a weak-but-runs motor to put into his project. Since the
body on that car was much better than my blue one, I volunteered
to take it off his hands, since he was just going to let the wrecking
yard take it. It's a Tornado Silver (dark grey) car, with burgundy
cloth interior, and was well-cared for during it's like, at least
by the first two owners. The 3rd (or maybe 4th) owner left it
at Shannon MacMasters' import repair place in Wylie (East of Plano.
TX) with an unpaid bill.
Fortunately, the owner left all
the records that the previous owner had given him - there were
receipts galore, especially from Rotary Performance in Garland,
TX. It's got really nasty paint on the right front fender, and
the paint is sun fading on the horizontal surfaces, but overall,
it's in very good shape. Just needs a motor. I think this one
will become the daily driver, while the blue one is destined for
autocross flogging. On the other hand, I'm seriously thinking
about putting all the GSL-SE stuff from the blue car into the
'79 chassis. I'd love to have a '79 GSL-SE...
